Salah Becomes First-Ever EPL Star to Win PFA Award Three Times
Liverpool star, Mohamed Salah has made history by becoming the first Premier League player to win the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Footballer of the Year award.
With this latest accolade, Salah moves ahead of previous two-time winners Gareth Bale, Thierry Henry, and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Earlier this year, the Egyptian international was also named the Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year.
Salah delivered a standout season, scoring 29 goals and registering 19 assists as Liverpool stormed to the Premier League title.
He edged out strong competition for the PFA award, including teammate Alexis Mac Allister, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes, Arsenal’s Declan Rice, and Newcastle’s Alexander Isak.
Reflecting on his achievement, Salah said:
“I look at myself now—a guy coming from Egypt and making it to the top level, making history today—it’s something that makes me so proud.”
