Paris 2024 Olympics: Team Nigeria Captain Opeyori Prepared to Defeat Badminton Opponent

Nigeria’s badminton star Anuoluwapo Opeyori has expressed his readiness to compete for honors at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Opeyori is set to begin his quest for a medal against Switzerland’s Tobias Kuenzi at La Chapelle Arena on Tuesday (today).

The athlete shared his excitement on social media, stating, “First matchday at the 2024 Paris Olympics tomorrow (Tuesday) at 6:30 PM C.A.T. I’m sure you can tell how excited I am. I will give it nothing but my absolute best.”

“I am thrilled for my first game at the Olympics Paris 2024. It’s an honor to represent Nigeria. I’ve poured my heart and soul into training every day and night, and I’m happy to represent,” Opeyori wrote on X.

The 27-year-old will be making his second Olympic appearance, following his debut four years ago in Tokyo.
