Wrexham celebrated their promotion to League One in spectacular fashion, securing a resounding 6-0 victory over Forest Green Rovers on Saturday.

This triumph marks a historic achievement for the club, as they clinched back-to-back promotions for the first time ever, ascending from the National League to England’s third tier.

Under the ownership of Hollywood luminaries Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, Wrexham’s ascent to League One was sealed with flair as they dominated bottom-placed Forest Green. The emphatic win ensures that Wrexham cannot finish lower than third this season, solidifying their place among the League One elite.

While the League Two title remains within mathematical reach for Wrexham, they currently trail leaders Stockport County by four points, with only two games left in the season. Despite the slim chances of clinching the title, Wrexham’s focus remains on finishing the season strongly.

Wrexham’s journey back to League Two faced early turbulence, with a 5-3 defeat against MK Dons raising doubts about their readiness for the challenges ahead. However, a resilient response saw them embark on an impressive run, suffering just one defeat in 15 games and establishing themselves as serious contenders for promotion.

The remaining fixtures for Wrexham include a showdown against Crewe Alexandra before culminating in a highly anticipated clash against Stockport at the SToK Cae Ras on April 27.

While the title may be out of reach, Wrexham’s remarkable journey serves as a testament to their resilience and determination to succeed at the highest level of English football.
