A Technology Company has Developed a Manicure Innovation aimed at substituting Bank Cards for online Transactions.
A new cutting-edge manicure has been developed to facilitate online payments, effectively replacing the need for bank cards.
The innovation, pioneered by technology firm Smart Chip, allows customers to make purchases at online stores by simply waving their fingernails at a contactless card machine. Priced at £13, the device securely stores the owner’s bank card details and connects to a mobile phone app for seamless transactions.
Users of this manicure technology can conveniently shop at supermarkets, dine at restaurants, and make purchases even if they forget their wallet, phone, cash, or smartwatch.
The ingenious cuticle caps were showcased at a pop-up salon in the Excel Centre, located in Canning Town, East London. Installation involves gluing the chip onto the desired nail and covering it with nail polish.
However, the chip requires replacement approximately five to seven times a year, depending on the length of the user’s nails.
Founder of Smart Chip, Rudolph Räber, touted the innovation’s convenience, noting that it seamlessly blends with nail polish. He claimed that the technology is virtually theft-proof and impossible to leave at home.
Transactions using the fingernail payment chips are managed by Digiseq, a London-based transactions firm specializing in wearable payment methods.
