Anambra Police Arrest Man Found with Human Breast, Rescue Kidnapped Truck Driver in Delta
The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a man found in possession of a fresh female breast, alongside three others implicated in the kidnapping of a truck driver and diversion of goods intended for delivery in Asaba, Delta State.
According to a statement by the Command’s spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the truck driver was rescued unharmed during operations conducted over the weekend, which involved collaboration with other security agencies.
Ikenga disclosed that a 25-year-old man, Samuel Eze, was apprehended by a joint security team from Awada Police Station and Anambra Vigilante Operatives during patrol along Jude Onyekwere Street, Awada, Obosi on Sunday at around 3 pm.
“Eze was found with a woman’s breast, which was promptly recovered and deposited at the morgue for preservation. The suspect is currently undergoing police interrogation to facilitate further investigation and prosecution,” the spokesperson stated.
In a separate operation on Saturday, officers of the Rapid Response Squad, acting on credible intelligence, rescued a kidnapped truck driver and recovered a truck loaded with custard powder valued at approximately N9.5 million.
Three suspects—Udegenyi Ugochukwu (38), Anayochukwu Okonkwo (47), and Good Odigili (47)—were arrested in connection with the incident. The suspects confessed to abducting the driver, restraining him in the bush, and diverting the goods, which were meant for delivery to a warehouse in Asaba, Delta State, to Enugwu Ukwu instead.
SP Ikenga reiterated the command’s commitment to ensuring public safety and assured that joint patrols involving the police, military, Civil Defence, Immigration, DSS, and Anambra Vigilante Group continue across the state.
