Anambra school wins national mathematics competition

Divine Rays British School students from Idemili North Local Government Area in Anambra State have achieved first place in the recently concluded 2024 National Mathematics Competition held across various states in the country.

According to a statement released on Monday by the organizers, Catalyst Consulting, the competition was divided into four categories: lower primary, upper primary, junior secondary, and senior secondary.

The annual event aims to assess and enhance students’ mathematical skills across all school levels and provide a platform for them to excel in the subject. Represented by pupils such as Okonkwo Chiziterem, Ezievuo Kosiso S., Nwabueze Chikamso S., Okoye Emmanuella C., Okonkwo Amarachi J., and Uche Chiemerie Victoria, Divine Rays British School secured six Gold medals at this prestigious tournament.

Mrs. Ifeoma Ucheama, the Headmistress of the school, joyfully highlighted the accomplishment on Monday, attributing it to the hard work and commitment of both students and coaching staff.
