UNIZIK’s 18th Convocation Sees 29 Students Achieve First Class Honors

Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, Celebrates Graduation of 29 First Class Students at 18th Convocation

During the 18th convocation ceremony for the 2022/2023 academic year at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Charles Esimone announced that 29 students graduated with First Class honors out of a total of 7,091 first-degree recipients.

Additionally, 96 students received postgraduate diplomas, 391 obtained master’s degrees, and 251 attained doctoral degrees. Esimone highlighted the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, productive community service, administrative reforms, discipline, and advancements during his tenure as Vice-Chancellor.

He expressed gratitude to various stakeholders for their contributions and emphasized the university’s achievements in academic, research, moral, and disciplinary aspects. The Chancellor, His Majesty Da Jacob Gyang Buba CFR, Gbong Gwon Jos, praised Esimone’s leadership and urged the incoming Vice-Chancellor to maintain the institution’s standards.
