Controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky, has been released from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre. Bobrisky, who had been incarcerated for six months for abusing the naira by spraying it at parties, was freed on Monday.

In an interview with GoldMyneTV following his release, Bobrisky advised, “Follow the rules and abide by the law. Don’t spray money, unless you want to end up a landlord inside Kirikiri.”

He continued, “It’s not just about serious crimes; even something seemingly minor like this can land you in trouble.”

Bobrisky expressed gratitude to his friends who supported him during his time in prison, stating, “I’m only focused on those who stood by me. I’m not thinking about anyone else.”

Bobrisky was sentenced to six months in prison on April 12, 2024, for the naira abuse. During his court appearance, he had asked the judge for a chance to use his platform to educate others about the consequences of spraying money, promising to make a video to raise awareness and vowing not to repeat his actions.
