Cubana Chief Priest Appears in Court for Continuation of Naira Abuse Trial

Nigerian entrepreneur Cubana Chief Priest has appeared at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos State for the continuation of his trial on charges of naira abuse.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) filed a three-count charge against him on April 16, and he was arraigned the next day. During the court session, the social media celebrity pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The judge, Kehinde Ogundare, granted him bail in the sum of N10 million with two responsible sureties in like sum. The judge stipulated that the bail conditions must be met within seven days. Cubana was released to his lawyer, who must give an undertaking to produce him later. Failure to do so will result in his remand in a correctional facility.
