Judge Who tried to Halt Sanusi’s Reinstatement is in US, I’d Report Him – Gov Yusuf
The Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has pledged to bring attention to the misuse of court orders by reporting it to the Nigeria Governors Forum.
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has pledged to bring attention to the misuse of court orders to the Nigeria Governors Forum.
He made this commitment in response to a court ruling that prevented the reappointment of Sanusi and halted the removal of five Emirs in the state.
An interim injunction was issued by Justice Abdullahi Muhammad Liman of the Federal High Court in Kano, prohibiting the Inspector General of Police, Kano State Police Commissioner, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), and the Department of State Service (DSS) from carrying out the Kano State Emirate Council (Repeal) Law.
The injunction was granted in response to a motion filed by Aminu Babba Danagundi, known as Sarkin Dawaki Babba.
Yusuf addressed the media at Africa House in Kano State Government House shortly after sending the reinstatement letter to Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II.
He expressed frustration over a court order issued from America instructing them to halt their actions. Yusuf emphasized the importance of addressing this abuse and vowed to bring it up at the Governor’s Forum for proper resolution.
He stressed the significance of following due process and highlighted the need for all parties involved to uphold the rule of law.
