The Ogun State Police Command has issued a warning about a notorious gang operating along the Sagamu to Ijebu Ode and Mowe Expressway. The alert, shared late Wednesday by police spokesperson Omolola Odutola, follows multiple complaints from residents.

One recent incident involved a victim who was robbed of N700,000 at gunpoint after entering a vehicle in Kajola. The gang reportedly forced the victim to transfer the money via a POS machine.

Odutola advised traders and business owners against traveling with large amounts of cash and urged commuters to record and share video footage of their vehicle if they have any doubts.

“Commuters on this route should be vigilant and upload videos of their trips to the police media if unsure about their vehicle,” Odutola said. “We advise against carrying large sums of cash, as recent incidents have shown the risk involved. Investigation is ongoing.”
