The Lagos State Police Command sprang into action on Thursday, responding to distressing reports from the Agodo-Egbe area of Ikotun. Their prompt intervention led to the rescue of three helpless infants who were discovered locked up in a room by their own grandmother, later identified as Fatimo Ganiyu.

Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement officials found the children—two boys and a girl, aged between two and four years—looking malnourished and dressed in nothing but diapers. The reason behind the grandmother’s alarming action remains undisclosed.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the command, confirmed the arrest of Fatimo Ganiyu and the subsequent rescue of the children. The authorities wasted no time in taking the infants to safety, transporting them to the station for immediate care and attention. Despite their unfortunate state, they are now under the watchful eye of medical professionals who will ensure they receive the necessary treatment.
