A housewife, Kafayat Ajoke, has pleaded with an Ilorin Court for a divorce due to her husband, Aminullahi Ibrahim’s, inability to provide food for the family.

The petitioner is also seeking custody of their two children and a monthly maintenance and feeding allowance of N100,000. She stated, “I noticed that my husband changed after he lost his job one year ago. He does not provide enough money for food for the family.”

In response, Ibrahim agreed to the divorce but stated that he could only afford to give his wife N2,000 monthly for the maintenance and feeding of their two children. “I don’t have a job, so I don’t have money. This is the main reason my wife wants a divorce,” he said.
