2027 Election: INEC Admits 100% Perfect Polls Not Yet Achievable in Nigeria

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has stated that achieving a completely flawless election may not be immediately possible.

Speaking on Sunday at a Citizens’ Town Hall Meeting on the Electoral Act in Abuja, the Commission’s Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, said while the goal of conducting perfect elections is understandable, it may not be realistic for now.

He also addressed concerns about the transmission of election results, noting that the challenge is not necessarily with network connectivity itself, but rather with the overall strength and coverage of telecommunications infrastructure across the country.

“I want to appeal to Nigerians,” he said, “because it appears that what many people expect is a perfect election.”
