#EndBadGovernanceInNigeria: Abuja protesters reconvene again after tear gas attack
Protesters from the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria movement have gathered once again at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja, following an incident where both they and journalists were subjected to tear gas at the well-known Berger roundabout.
Upon reaching the stadium, the demonstrators vocally declared their determination to continue their efforts until their demands are addressed by the Federal Government. One protester named Tari expressed frustration over the behavior of law enforcement when speaking with reporters.
She expressed that the demonstrators are steadfast and will not be cowed by police actions. Tari remarked, The police need to justify their harassment of us.
There is widespread hunger in our country. We stand firm and will continue to protest until the President hears our demands.
Another participant, Michael Zayi, commented, It’s a dire situation. When a child cries and the parent ignores them, it usually leads to unpleasant outcomes.
We are peaceful in our protests. The root of the problem is that if the president had heeded our concerns earlier, we wouldn’t find ourselves in this predicament.
Hope thrives when we persist in our efforts. The gravest issue isn’t death but rather hunger; people are suffering from it. No amount of tear gas can deter us from seeking a better future.
