AFCON 2025 Qualifier: Rohr Confident Benin Will Defeat Super Eagles Again

Benin Republic head coach Gernot Rohr is confident that his team will secure another victory over the Super Eagles.

The Cheetahs are set to face Nigeria in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Saturday, September 7.

Rohr’s team previously defeated the Super Eagles 2-1 in a June 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

“It’s another rematch against Nigeria, and we have more games against them, including the upcoming one for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers,” Rohr stated.

“It’s a rematch with a strong team, but we have gained confidence and believe we can win again.”

Rohr is expected to announce his squad for the match today.
