Five Teams Clinch NNL Promotion in NLO Playoffs

Five teams have successfully secured promotion from the Nationwide League One (NLO) to the Nigeria National League (NNL). Basira FC, Barau FC, Magic Stars, Igbajo United, and Emalex FC emerged victorious in their respective playoff matches, earning their spots in the NNL.

Basira FC clinched their promotion after defeating Family Worship FC 4-3 in a penalty shootout at the New Jos Stadium. Meanwhile, Barau FC emerged victorious over Yoca Crocodile with a 3-2 win on penalties after the match ended in a 1-1 draw in regulation time at the Abuja center.

Magic Stars FC secured their promotion by edging out Ojodu City FC 5-3 in a penalty shootout in a tightly contested encounter held at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Lagos.

Additionally, Igbajo United and Emalex FC also earned their NNL tickets by winning their respective playoff matches. Igbajo United defeated FC Ebedei 5-4 on penalties, while Emalex FC emerged victorious over Cynosure FC with a 4-2 win on penalties.
