Real Madrid’s veteran midfielder, Luka Modric, has shared that he will retire from football when he no longer feels the passion for the game.

Modric made the comment after leading Croatia to a 1-0 victory over Poland in the Nations League on Sunday, where the 39-year-old scored a free-kick at the Opus Arena.

Speaking on his retirement plans, Modric said, “With me, you never know.”

He added, “We take it game by game. I can’t predict the future, but once I no longer feel the fire within me, I’ll retire. Only I can sense that moment and make the decision.”
