Transfer: ‘He’s in pain’ – Ighalo slams Nigerians over Osimhen’s failed Napoli move

Former Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo, has criticized Nigerians for their comments on social media following Victor Osimhen’s failed transfer from Napoli.

Osimhen has faced exclusion at the Serie A club after transfer negotiations with Chelsea collapsed, sparking mixed reactions from fans online, many of whom criticized him and his team.

Ighalo, however, took to X on Sunday, saying: “No one is perfect, and we’ve all made mistakes in life. It’s sad to see the comments about this young man from his own people, without knowing the full story.”

He added that after speaking with Osimhen, he could sense the pain the player was feeling from how he has been treated. “This young man plays with heart and pain for his country. He’ll come back stronger. We learn every day in life,” Ighalo concluded.
