Mourinho in quick move to sign Rashford

Fenerbahce’s head coach, Jose Mourinho, is prepared to bide his time for Marcus Rashford, even though the Manchester United striker has expressed a preference for a transfer to Barcelona.

As reported by Turkish news source Hurriyet, Mourinho is eager to work with Rashford again. However, the £40 million valuation of the 27-year-old may pose a challenge in negotiations.

Nonetheless, Fenerbahce is willing to “patiently wait until August” in hopes of securing a more favorable deal.

Rashford, who spent the latter half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, is anticipated to depart from Manchester United on a permanent transfer this summer.

The England international has been omitted from the Red Devils’ preseason squad by manager Ruben Amorim.

During his time under Mourinho at United from 2016 to 2018, Rashford netted 28 goals and contributed 20 assists across 125 matches.
