Economic Hardship: Planned Protest Could Destroy Nigeria, Cleric Warns Youths

The Chairman of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa’kamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS) in Katsina State, Sheikh Yakubu Musa, on Friday urged youths to avoid participating in the planned nationwide protest against economic hardship to maintain peace in the country.

Musa warned that the protest could potentially lead to the nation’s destruction.

He made this appeal while addressing the Muslim faithful after prayers at Al-Sanawiyya Mosque in Katsina.

“Here in Katsina, we are also affected by insecurity. We should avoid the planned protest and ensure our youths do the same. Such actions could destroy the nation. We have seen how protests have led to war and total destruction in other countries,” Musa cautioned.
