Mustapha Sule Lamido, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for Jigawa State in the 2023 general election, has declared that Saturday’s by-election for the Garki/Babura Federal Constituency will be a decisive moment signaling the end of the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration in the state.

Speaking at a grand campaign rally and flag presentation for the PDP’s candidate held in Babura on Wednesday, Lamido urged Nigerians to reject the ruling party, highlighting the widespread hardships endured under APC’s decade-long governance.

“APC has been running this country for 10 years, and the level of hardship Nigerians are going through is enormous. We have to vote out this administration, starting with the Garki/Babura Federal Constituency by-election,” he said.

Lamido added that the APC is increasingly facing public backlash due to the difficulties Nigerians continue to experience, accusing the party at both state and national levels of dragging the country backwards.

“From what I see today in this mammoth gathering, I am confident the days of APC are numbered,” he stated.

He called on voters to come out in large numbers, cast their votes, protect them, and ensure they are properly counted.
