EPL Milestone: Iwobi Matches Kanu’s Assist Record in Fulham’s Victory at West Ham

Alex Iwobi has matched Nwankwo Kanu’s impressive record for the most assists by a Nigerian player in the English Premier League.

During Fulham’s 2-0 triumph at the London Stadium on Sunday, Iwobi set up Brazil midfielder Andreas Pereira for the team’s second goal. This marked his 29th assist in the Premier League, equaling Kanu’s tally achieved during his playing career.

The 27-year-old, who previously represented Arsenal and Everton, joined Fulham from Everton last summer. Since then, he has made 25 appearances for the Whites this season, contributing five goals to his name.
