AKURE, NIGERIA NEWS 247 – As the All Progressives Congress (APC) ramps up its campaign in Ondo State ahead of the November 16 governorship election, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has urged the electorate to cast their votes for the ruling party, asserting that no other political party holds relevance in the state.

During a campaign stop in Igboibini, located in the Ese Odo Local Government Area, Aiyedatiwa emphasized that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has essentially ceased to exist in Ondo State, noting that many of its key figures have transitioned to the APC.

Reflecting on his tenure, Aiyedatiwa highlighted the various achievements that he believes have attracted former opposition members to join the APC in a collective effort to advance the state. “I want to express my gratitude for your patience as we gather here today,” he stated. “I commend your love, unity, and unwavering support for our party. I promise to reciprocate this gesture after the election.”

He outlined his administration’s progress, citing improvements in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and security. “We have initiated numerous projects that enhance our roads, schools, and hospitals. Our commitment to ensuring safety in the state remains strong, and we are actively hiring more teachers to strengthen our education system. Therefore, on November 16, I urge you all to come out in large numbers and vote for the APC.”

Aiyedatiwa stressed the importance of voter participation, declaring, “Your vote is your power; don’t squander it on parties lacking a clear vision for Ondo State.

Use your vote to remove other political parties from the equation. As you are aware, all the key players from the PDP are now with us. We have dismantled the umbrella of the main opposition party. In this upcoming election, your vote must be for the APC.”

The monarch of the Bolowo community, Oba George Jemine, praised Aiyedatiwa for his developmental initiatives but also urged him to place greater emphasis on education and healthcare.

“We need to renovate our public schools to provide a conducive learning environment for our children. Additionally, the establishment of more secondary schools is essential, as many of our children currently have to travel long distances for their education,” he said.
