Michael Carrick made history on Sunday as Manchester United secured a 2-1 Premier League win over Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.

Goals from Bruno Fernandes and Benjamin Sesko sealed the victory for the Red Devils.

The win brought Carrick’s record as Manchester United manager to 23 points from nine Premier League games (seven wins, two draws across both spells), equalling the joint-best total after nine games in Premier League history alongside former Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou.

Carrick now aims to guide Manchester United to another victory when they face Newcastle United on Wednesday.

The win keeps Manchester United in third place in the Premier League table, with 51 points from 28 matches.
