University of Ibadan Students Protest Fee Hike and Power Rationing

Students of the University of Ibadan (UI) took to the streets to protest the management’s decisions regarding electricity supply and fee hikes.

The protest, which began late Tuesday, continued into Wednesday with students carrying placards in front of the university gate.

The protesters blocked the main entrance, preventing vehicular movement into the university.

NIGERIA NEWS 247visited the school on Wednesday and observed students holding placards and sitting on the access road to the main gate.

Another group of students gathered at the Trenchard Hall premises, chanting various songs to voice their protest.
