In a video posted on social media, Fabiyi appealed to President Bola Tinubu to intervene in the ongoing investigations surrounding the singer’s death. He further alleged that the video was sent to him as part of an attempt to extort him.

Fabiyi said he had earlier written a letter to President Tinubu in May 2025, stating his belief that Mohbad was “murdered.” He also claimed that the case file had been reviewed by the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja, and that “key suspects” had been identified during the process.

According to him, attempts are now being made to suppress evidence. He said: “Now they want to cover it up. They are even asking the same suspects to write a petition against me over illegal arrests. This suspect wants to silence me because they want to use the video against you.”

As of the time of this report, authorities have not publicly responded to Fabiyi’s latest claims, and the allegations remain unverified.
