The management of Nasarawa United has been cautioned against any actions that could undermine the team’s progress.
Abdullahi Sule issued the warning on Tuesday during a visit to the players, following reports of crowd trouble in the team’s clash with Rivers United at the Lafia City Stadium on Monday.
The governor expressed displeasure over the incident and vowed to take firm action against anyone found culpable.
He described the reports of internal disputes among top officials during the match as unfortunate, stressing that such behavior would not be tolerated.
Sule warned that the state would not allow the hard work and investment in the team to be jeopardized by individuals driven by personal interests, especially actions that could lead to sanctions or points deductions.
He further emphasized that anyone found responsible for undermining the progress of Nasarawa United or Nasarawa Amazons would face serious consequences.
