“You’re Not Our Member” – Kogi ADC disowns Dino Melaye

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kogi State has warned Senator Dino Melaye against presenting himself as a member of the party.

The state ADC Public Relations Officer, Tayo John, stated in Lokoja on Friday that Melaye is not affiliated with the party. He cited Melaye’s repeated interference in party activities and his ongoing attacks on the party as reasons for the clarification.

John emphasized that the party’s state executives operate independently and that there has been no merger with individuals he described as “marauders,” including Melaye. He said, “Let me state unequivocally that Dino Melaye is not a member of ADC in Kogi State. He is not known in his ward as a member of our party. Therefore, he has no identity in our party and cannot speak in the interest of ADC in Kogi State.”

The spokesman further described Melaye as a social media content creator whose actions are aimed at generating publicity rather than advancing the party’s objectives. According to John, Melaye’s activities do not align with those of ADC, and as such, he has no role in the party’s leadership or decision-making processes.
