Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has revealed that former AC Milan star Dida is his football idol.
The shot-stopper also listed Marc-André ter Stegen of FC Barcelona, Thibaut Courtois of Real Madrid, and Gianluigi Donnarumma of Manchester City as the three best goalkeepers in the world at the moment.
Speaking in an interview with Tuttomercatoweb, Okoye admitted he has never met Dida but greatly admires him.
He said the Brazilian’s speed and commanding presence on the pitch are qualities he would love to emulate.
Okoye also praised David de Gea, describing him as a “legend” and a “monster” between the sticks, while insisting that Donnarumma is currently the best goalkeeper in the world.
The Nigerian international is presently in camp with the Super Eagles ahead of their international friendly against Iran in Turkey later today.
