NPFL Mohammed Reveals Why Kwara United Tornadoes Lost to Abia Warriors

Niger Tornadoes’ technical adviser, Majin Mohammed, said his team lost to Abia Warriors because they could not turn their chances into goals.

The Minna-based team lost 2-1 to Abia Warriors in Umuahia on Monday. Suraj Lawal and Casmir Azubuike scored for Abia Warriors in the 7th and 65th minutes.

Niger Tornadoes scored a late goal through Joseph Godfrey in the 81st minute. Mohammed praised his players despite the loss.

“We played well and controlled the game,” Mohammed told the club’s media.

“We created many chances, especially in the first half, but could not score. They had their chances too and scored early.”

Mohammed also said luck was not on their side. “We were not lucky. Even after scoring late, there was not enough time to come back.”
