EPL: Martin Keown advises Arteta on how to maximize Arsenal’s new signing

Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown has offered advice to manager Mikel Arteta on how to maximize the performance of new signing Raheem Sterling.

Keown emphasized the importance of Arteta managing Sterling effectively to ensure he delivers strong results for Arsenal this season.

Sterling, 29, was signed on loan from Chelsea just before the transfer deadline.

Speaking on TNT Sports, Keown stated:
“When he played for Man City, Sterling was most effective running off the ball, receiving passes in those pockets behind the full-back. He’s less effective when running with the ball. If not managed properly, you won’t get the best out of him.

“For Arteta, he could be a key player for Arsenal. He needs to integrate him quickly despite his late arrival. It’s an intriguing signing.”
