Transfer: Arsenal’s new signing Setford eager to hit the ground running

Arsenal’s newest signing, Tommy Setford, has expressed his eagerness to start playing for his new club.

Setford officially joined Arsenal from Ajax Amsterdam on Sunday in a permanent transfer.

Speaking after his deal was confirmed, Setford said, “I want to thank Arsenal for this opportunity. I can’t wait to hit the ground running.”

The Netherlands-born 18-year-old has progressed through Ajax’s academy and recently played for Jong Ajax.
