Arsenal legend Emmanuel Petit has expressed his disapproval of Raheem Sterling’s move to the Emirates Stadium this summer. Petit disagrees with Mikel Arteta’s decision to bring the England winger from Chelsea.

Sterling joined Arsenal on a season-long loan from Chelsea on transfer deadline day after being informed by new Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca that he wasn’t part of his plans. With limited options, Sterling accepted the opportunity to move to north London just minutes before the transfer window closed.

Sterling has an impressive record of 123 goals in 379 Premier League appearances, having played for Liverpool and Manchester City, where he won four league titles. However, his time at Chelsea was less impactful, and Petit has reservations about his move to Arsenal.

“Arsenal shouldn’t sign Sterling,” Petit told Safest Casino Sites. “Since he left Liverpool, he hasn’t improved much at Manchester City or Chelsea. Sterling can have big moments, but there’s no consistency in his performances. He still needs to improve his final ball and score more goals, which is the main issue.”

Petit added that Arteta likely prefers young, hungry players with more potential to develop, and he doesn’t believe Sterling fits that mold. “Sterling won’t improve more than another young winger,” he concluded.
